About the Artist
Gatex (Gastón Bernstein Zarich) is a Buenos Aires-born, Barcelona-based pianist, composer, and producer whose work is defined by combining the familiar with the unexpected, the popular with the strange, the "high" and the "low."
Trained at the School of Popular Music of Avellaneda (Jazz Piano), the National Technological University (Music Production & Arranging), and holding a B.A. in Audiovisual Arts from UBA (FFyL), Gatex brings both technical rigour and an instinct for surprise to every performance.
He is also an active composer for video games and film, with over a decade of live and studio experience across Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and beyond.
His live experience ranges from solo piano to pop/rock bands, R&B and neo-soul jams, duos with singers, and big band orchestras.
About the Show
REFRAME is a 60–90 minute solo piano show built around a simple but radical premise: to make the familiar strange.
It's not a "jazz version" of a pop song. It's a whole new lens — one that uses odd meters, rich reharmonisation, and improvisational freedom to rebuild music you already know from completely unexpected angles. The result feels simultaneously recognizable and new.

Each REFRAME set can be programmed independently or combined into a full evening show.
